Restaurant Šporn has been in operation for over 100 years and its tradition is still carried on today. Its influence is seen in the restaurant’s interior where old and new blend together, thus creating a homelike but also contemporary environment perfect for enjoying gourmet cuisine. Our chef’s culinary expertise closely follows modern culinary trends, paying great attention to the season and fresh seasonal ingredients, thus offering our guests season’s best flavours.
Apart from our culinary art, since 1996 our guests can also choose to stay at our 4-star family hotel offering fully furnished contemporary rooms. Due to our location, only a few kilometres away from the capital Ljubljana, yet in the heart of green nature, our hotel is most suitable for both business as well as holiday stays.

History of Inn and Hotel Šporn in pictures
1900 – foundation of the restaurant and store
1936 – restaurant takes on a new and larger look
1941 – family was deported, German family occupies the house
1943 – Partisans expel the occupier and the building is burnt down
1946 – building is restored according to its original
1959 – Marshal Tito has lunch in the Restaurant Pri špornu, large crowd greets him
1961 – image of the restaurant in that time
1969 – … – restaurant was completely renovated; the beginnings of the restaurant as it is known today
1971 – stable was converted into a discotheque, opening of the discotheque
1971 – 1996 – Disco šporn is in full bloom
1991 – opening of a day bar
